What is Can-It-Forward Day?

A day to celebrate the joys of fresh preserving where canners, gardeners and food enthusiasts alike can share the simplicity of home canning with delicious recipes made from ingredients at the peak of freshness.

How Can I Participate in Can-It-Forward Day?

We invite you to join us on the Ball Canning & Recipes Facebook page where experts from the Ball® brand and our Ball® Fresh Preserver ambassadors will be sharing their favorite canning recipes in real time with Facebook Live! Take the pledge to commit to tuning in, whether learning to can for the first time or looking to share your own preserving expertise, and receive a coupon to our online store FreshPreserving.com! All canning questions will also be answered throughout the day on the @BallCanning Twitter handle, using the hashtag #canitforward.

Helping Local Communities

This year, we’re embodying the spirit of “canning-it-forward” in a new way. With the help of our Ball® Fresh Preservers, we’ve selected five small, local non-profit organizations to benefit from the event. Chosen based on their location and food-based mission, for every engagement on the Can-It-Forward Day Facebook Live videos on July 22nd, we will donate $1 to one of the following local charities, up to $1,000 for each:
